    Transition Quick Facts
    Quick Fact #10:
No loose items stored outside of the carts will be collected.

    Quick Fact #9:
Another option if your garbage doesn't fit in your cart is to find a neighbor who is willing to allow you to place your overage in their container. Be sure to get the home owner's permission before placing any garbage or recycling items in their carts.

    Quick Fact #8:
If you have garbage that does not fit into your cart, you may purchase an extra cart for your garbage or recycled materials for $50 each. For the purpose of collection, each additional garbage cart requires an "Additional Cart Collection" permit, which is $52 for the year. Permits are valid on a calendar year basis, and must be paid in full at the time of the permit being issued. There is no additional collection charge for recycling.

    Quick Fact #7:
New carts will be delivered to the homes the week of April 19.

    Quick Fact #6:
The new garbage cart is brownstone and the new recycling cart is greenstone.

    Quick Fact #5:
Current Village staff will continue to collect both garbage and recycling materials. However, the new system is much more efficient so it only requires one person to operate the automated truck. This allows the crew to focus on other infrastructure issues, helping to ensure a fully functional Village.

    Quick Fact #4:
Beginning May 3, garbage collection for homes on the north side of Fairy Chasm and north will be Monday. Collection day for homes on the south side of Fairy Chasm and south will be Tuesday. Recycling will continue to be on Wednesday. Garbage Route Map

    Quick Fact #3:
Due to the new method of collection, all materials will be required to be inside the respective cart(s). No bags or additional cans left outside the container will be collected. If you continually have overflow garbage or recycling, you may stop into Village Hall to purchase an additional container. For more information, please contact Village Hall at 351-8811, ext. 105.

    Quick Fact #2:
The new collection system may affect the time of day your items are collected, please have all containers available for collection by 7 am the day of pick up.

    Quick Fact #1:
Each home will be receiving two (2) new carts for the collection, one for garbage, and one for recycling. These containers will be delivered to your home the week of April 19. The containers will be delivered to the exact spot where they will be picked up each week. Those wishing to purchase additional carts may do so by coming to Village Hall. Below you can find the minutes for all meetings related to the new service.
